The Books

THE RUMOR SERIES

The Flathead Valley in northwest Montana may look like a paradise, but beneath its pastoral surface it has all the drama – both tragic and comic – of any other place. The Rumor Series paints a portrait of small town life that is universal, and offers an intimate insight into the everyday lives of familiar people caught up in a conflict of truth – and consequences. It is a story of endurance and hope. By allowing us to see what is possible for others, we likewise see what is possible for ourselves.

TALES FROM THE STORYBOARD

In the tradition of Little Big Man and Forrest Gump, “Tales From The Storyboard” is the vernacular narration of Rayford Hollis’ long and eventful life. As a ranch cook, army cook, restaurant chef and owner of his own café, Rayford takes the reader on a memorable journey to Cuba with Roosevelt’s Rough Riders, and to all the principal cities of Europe with Buffalo Bill’s Wild West. He leads you back to America’s Mexican border with Black Jack Pershing during The Mexican Revolution, and then on with Pershing to war-torn France. He tells of the Chicago speakeasies of prohibition, the Jim Crow south, and Native American struggles in the west. “Tales From The Storyboard” is a larger-than-life saga of war and peace, of romance and loss, of tragedy and intrigue told in lively, energetic episodes.
